Hasina1The prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, has deferred her retu home from New York to 30 September.
The premier was scheduled to retu home on 26 September after completing her 11-day US trip during when he attended the Fifth Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund in Canada before joining the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
She will now leave the United States for Bangladesh on 29 September and will reach Bangladesh 30 September, said PM's principal secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
Abul Kalam Azad, however, did not disclose the reasons behind the delay in retuing home.
According to party insiders, prime minister Sheikh Hasina will enjoy her upcoming birthday scheduled for 28 September with her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy in Virginia.
Joy, also PM’s ICT adviser, lives in Virginia with his family. The PM is currently staying with son in Virginia.
Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka on 14 September for the North America.
